Mechanistic modelling of two-phase slug flows with deposition

Despite the large quantity of works dedicated to analysis and modelling deposition in single-phase flows, very few models have been proposed for solids two-phase pipe flows gas liquid. A comprehensive mechanistic model transient, multiphase flow with phase change is proposed, which takes into account effects by mass diffusion, ageing, shearing deposit layer. Validation performed an exhaustive database experimental data from literature, steady transient without deposition, thickness measurements single-phase, slug stratified flows. Most predictions are within a ±20% error band data, slightly worse performance case surrogate also developed based on active-learning sampling simulator results, demonstrating technique that could be used optimization or design engineering devices.
